How are photographs selected?

Photographs will be selected by a panel of judges known as “the jury”. The jury will review all submitted photographs and select the one’s that best capture the beauty and charm of Twinsburg, Ohio. They will be looking for a cross section of subject matter as well as four seasons. Artistic perspective and photo quality will also be taken into consideration.

Who is on the jury?

The jury is comprised of the following committee members; Mark Gutowski – Photographer, Gary Sorace – Council Representative, Abby Schroll-Fechter – Twinsburg Chamber of Commerce, Audrey Kancler – Twinsburg Historical Society and Peter DeSouza – Violet Orthodontics.

Will the jury know who has submitted the photographs?

No, the jury will be “blind” to who submitted the photograph.

Where will “Twinsburg Ohio” coffee table picture books be sold?

The books will be sold exclusively by the Chamber of Commerce and the Historical Society in Twinsburg. The retail price for the book will be $32.50. Buyers can purchase at presale a limited number of copies at $29.95 (See link on home page.)

Are prints accepted for submission?

No, the only photographs accepted will be 300 dpi electronic versions (.jpeg, .gif, .tif, .png, .eps). If you have a hard copy (print) it must scanned in first and then uploaded. The Staff at the Twinsburg Library is available to help scan photos (or help with this process). Stop at the Computer Lab or call 330-425-4268 Ext. 4 to make an appointment.

When will the book be available for purchase?

We anticipate the book to be available in July of 2015.

Will the photographer be recognized?

Yes, under each photograph selected for inclusion into the book, the name of the photographer or person who submitted the photograph will be listed as well as a description of the photograph.

What is the deadline for photograph submission?

Photographs may be submitted up until April 24, 2015.
